Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 24, 2026
1. Introduction
Radius ("App") is developed by Enrique53XD (Saúl González). This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Data Processed Locally (Never Leaves Your Device)
- Bluetooth device identifiers & RSSI readings — used solely to determine device proximity for the auto-lock feature.
- Wi-Fi SSID — read through CoreWLAN / Location Services to determine if you are on a whitelisted network. The SSID is stored locally in your preferences.
- Input events (mouse / keyboard activity) — monitored only when Intruder Detection is enabled. Events are not recorded or stored; they trigger an immediate lock action.
- App preferences — thresholds, delay values, device selections, hotkey configuration, and onboarding state are stored in local UserDefaults.
2.2 Data Sent to Third Parties
- RevenueCat (subscription/purchase validation) — an anonymous app user ID may be sent to RevenueCat to verify Pro entitlements. No personal information (name, email, Bluetooth data) is shared. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- No analytics, crash reporters, or advertising SDKs are included. We do not collect usage analytics.
3. Permissions Explained
- Bluetooth — Required. Scan for and connect to BLE peripherals to read signal strength.
- Notifications — Optional. Post a notification when the Mac is locked or unlocked.
- Location Services — Optional. Required only for reading the current Wi-Fi SSID (Safe Zones feature). We do not track your geographic location.
- Input Monitoring — Optional. Required only for the Intruder Detection feature (keyboard activity). Must be granted manually in System Settings.
4. Data Retention
All locally-stored data (preferences, device list) persists until you reset the App or delete it. No data is retained on any server we control.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Security
Because all sensitive data remains on your device and is never transmitted, the primary security boundary is your macOS user account. We recommend keeping your Mac password-protected and your OS up to date.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
